The Megan Rock Experience: Â
Have you been on a road trip where the driver identifies every crop and field? Â Does this friend yell "OHIO" every time they see something remotely related to Ohio and relates every story you tell back to Ohio (The Wright Brothers were born in DAYTON...btw). Â What about telling her kids that when she dies, she will haunt them with a specific song list? Â You might have had a Megan Rock experience. Â Megan Rock is a mother of three young adults, the human of two lovely but annoying French bulldogs, and obsessed with to her home state of Ohio. In her professional life, she's a sustainable agriculture professional trying to change the world.Â
The accidental brand
Ten years ago, Megan started adding quotes to the Notes app on her phone. These weren't profound philosophical insights, but rather, snippets of real-life conversations from nights with friends and family, random conversations at airport bars or Megan awkwardly eavesdropping on conversations: Many different locations and different people, but 99% of the time Megan heard these quotes with a glass of wine in hand. Â It started as a way to simply remember the moment: a way to remember life and the details that far too often go forgotten.Â
Unintentionally, Black Girl Wasted Tees was born.  The brand is built on genuine and unscripted moments. Each t-shirt features a different quote, capturing  real life.Â
Also, Megan was raised in Kent, Ohio and like most Ohioans, weirdly super proud of her Ohio roots (O-H.... ).Â
